Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis is the most common chronic disease of the central nervous system in New Zealand. It is a difficult disease to describe because it impacts on people so differently. Some are mildly affected, others progress quickly to total disability. Most people with MS fit between these extremes. In spite of research funded by organisations like MS NZ, its cause remains a mystery.

Myalgic Encephalopathy

Myalgic Encephalopathy /Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) is a serious and complex illness characterised by incapacitating fatigue and neurological problems. The condition does not improve with rest and persists for a minimum of 6 months. In many cases it lasts for years and severly impairs a person's ability to function. here click for Trustee Profiles
